AALNC Introduction to Legal Nurse Consulting Course: Module Spotlight
Written Communication and Report Writing
AALNC’s Introduction to Legal Nurse Consulting Course provides a comprehensive look at the tools LNCs need to be successful when just starting, or enhancing their career. This week will be spotlighting the module Written Communication and Report Writing.
This module is a great starting point for new LNCs or nurses that are considering becoming an LNC. Nurses complete a lot of paperwork and communication at their practice every day, but the type of communication and paperwork required of LNCs can throw you for a loop. LNCs use their nursing knowledge to communicate and compile reports for their legal team into comprehensive documents with recommendations, which can be overwhelming for a new LNC. This module provides great tools for LNCs to use whether they’re considering becoming one or are an experienced LNC looking to improve their skills.
The module will teach attendees to:
- Identify the various types of LNC written work products
- Match the different types of writing styles that LNCs may use in written work
- Apply the Six C’s of effective communication to your own writing
- Construct a Chronology following the four components of essential writing skills
